Another year finds some very exciting happenings in the Anglen family.  Newly-engaged Katie and Dillon are busily planning their wedding and have set the date for July 12, 2008.  We are all looking forward to celebrating together in the beautiful Colorado summer.  Keith and Ginger moved to the Bay Area back in July 2007, and are still constantly exploring their surroundings with hikes, drives, and excursions.  Finally, Mike and I returned from CO for the holidays- managing not to beak any bones skiing and enjoying time spent between Edwards, Broomfield, and Denver.  Thanks to all for the great hospitality!  We have settled into San Francisco in Russian Hill, where we’ve already had our first guests and are looking forward to more (hint hint).

Happy news- Katie and Dillon are engaged!  Dillon proposed to Katie on the Great Wall of China, and we are all so happy for them.  They are working on the wedding details and we just wanted to say- welcome to the family, Dillon :)

We wish all of our friends and family across the country a fun and happy Thanksgiving.  We will be thinking of you all from our favorite destination- Napa Valley, CA.   Its become a CA-Anglen tradition for the past few years to go to Napa and enjoy the fall foliage, friends, and of course… a little wine tasting.  PS- GO BUFFS!

CIAO! We are back from 2 fabulous weeks in Italy, and the wine was fantastic. We are still getting all the pictures up, but we have posted a few for now. Also, stay tuned for other changes at The Wine Bar- The Anglen Boutique Hotel is relocating within San Francisco, complete with upgrades… Here’s a hint:

Venice 

Crystal and I are leaving for our trip to Italy in September.  We’ve planned a 2-week tour of Tuscany’s best: flying into Venice, then taking a train to Siena, followed by wine tasting and touring the countryside and San Gimignano, and finally finishing in Florence.   It’s been a long time coming.

New Look!

It’s our first round of the new Anglen.com! We are now using a blog-based version from WordPress which will hopefully make it easier for us to post more often. I haven’t integrated our photo album into the new look yet, but it will follow soon.

I’m still learning how to use all of the features for this site. I’m still trying to tweak the comments feature so that I don’t have to approve every comment. Each theme seems to handle it a little differently.
